Brian was extraordinarily helpful in helping me get into my first home. I first connected with him through my realtor. At that point I thought I had my [different] lender lined up, but I let Brian give me a quote anyway. Figured it couldn't hurt to have a competing offer as a sanity check. At first his offer looked less competitive, but he took the time to go over the full disclosure and explain how I would actually benefit with Bell Bank's offer. Sure enough - after accounting for fees, contingencies, and closing costs he was right. I was most pleasantly surprised once we got into the depths of the loan offer. He found out I qualified for a reduced-rate program through a competing lender (different from any other I had been working with so far). He helped me apply, get approved, and walked me through my first payment with this lender too, even though he probably made nothing off my loan. It's not too common to find people who will pass up their own gain for the good of their customer, and I really appreciate that he stuck with me anyway. Once interest rates drop and its time to refinance I'll be calling Brian first.
