NOT FOR THE PEOPLE FOR THE MONEY. I don't usually write reviews but this seemed warranted. Walters Recycling and Refuse is not willing to work with you when you have issues ending services. We forgot to cancel services, which was my responsibility, but that wasn't the problem. My problem started when I found out that even once someone else moved into the house, they continues to charge us while simeotaneously charging the current resident- therefore getting double the payment for one address. (something I am sure the current residents weren't aware of). We wouldn't have gotten reimbursed unless we called and advocated for ourselves. Plus, even when we called we got attitude and hung up on (BY THE MANAGER) when we said we were disappointed in services.
Additionally, they said that because the garbage people took photos showing the trash wasn't out, that was equivalent to the retrieval, storage, and incineration process and therefore were wouldn't get any money back for the period. (Even though numerous people on the block also has Walters for garbage, including our neighbors)
I am also aware we are not the only ones who have issues with Walters. My parents who also use Walters have had the garbage retriever drive into part of their lawn into order to get the bin, even when the bin is properly placed. (I know this because the recycling people, who are through a different company, have never done this and the bin is in a similar position). They also are not always reliable for them because they are farther away from their headquarters.
All this to say, I will never be using Walters again and I will tell anyone that mentions them that I would be very cautious preceding.

They have done a great job but now it's time for another company. I found out they are charging almost twice the amount as other services.

Service missed the 1st week of April due to Inclement weather. What is this - a few snow flakes! What happens when it is raining? I called and was told they were not prepared because of the weather the last week of March. I said my contract is from April 1st through November 30th. Then I was told it was because the waste sight they use was not open yet. Again, the service contract date states service starts the first full week of April and ends the last full week of November. NOT PLEASED WITH SERVICE!

Ive enjoyed being a customer but the increases each year are too much. Pricing since the onset of Covid went from $144 to $195 and now the 2024 rate for yard waste pickup is $265.
