We are very happy with our finished basement and have no regrets hiring Geist and Pierson (Matt and Steve) to complete the project. Our basement included a living room, dry bar area, bathroom, hallway, bedroom and walk-in closet. Throughout the process we had many questions and Matt and Steve kept up with them, offered suggestions and worked through anything that arose. We wanted to hire someone local for the project and appreciated the fact that they use local vendors. We also will continue to recommend them to family and friends! We hired Geist and Pierson to finish our basement. The project had a promising start. After the first couple of weeks, things stopped and there was about a 3 week gap of no work. Per contract, we were told 6 weeks from start to finish. Once we passed the 6 week mark, and had a significant amount of work left, Steve told us the contract was for 6-10 weeks. This indeed was not true. This project took about double the amount of time. There was minimal communication with us unless we were reaching out asking first. Everything seemed to be rushed and it shows. Matt left multiple holes in the closet from his hand slipping and for measuring incorrectly to hang the shelf and when asked, said it wasnt shoddy work he would leave it as is, paint was peeled off the wall when the painters tape was removed, by us, and after 2 weeks of use, our shower caulk is now falling/peeling off. We are extremely happy with the results G&P team performed on our challenging basement remodel.Matt and Steve very very professional though the journey and worked with us as we continued to make small edits on our project. Quality and Craftsmanship were really high and we were kept true to the contract Steve and Matt brought in the right professional for the job and ensured that they stay top of things to have things addressed. Overall we have had excellent experience and we remain impressed with the quality of work We've recommended to family and friends, and will continue to do so. Service: Remodeling
