Ticknor Hill will be my go-to hotel for Minnesota for as long as it's run by Debbie. It's a truly classic bed and breakfast experience - the entire building feels homey and quaint, and the accomodations invite guest interaction. It's perfectly positioned to visit either downtown Anoka or the tea house nearby. Rooms: Rooms were clean and welcoming with a very period decoration style. Nearby activities: The hotel is a casual walk from the Mad Hatter tea house, the Anoka downtown strip, and any other reason to stay in the suburb. Walkability: During my time here, I walked to every part of the Anoka Halloween celebration with no sweat. This place is exceedingly convenient to the adorable downtown region, quite possibly the best hotel to stay in for downtown access on foot.
