Schooner Cove Apartments

It's been a long time since I've lived in an apartment community, so I was a bit apprehensive when I arrived from New Jersey. But within two days, I felt right at home. The apartment is showing its age, but it was clean, everything works, there are enough outlets, and the water pressure is great. The staff has been kind and accommodating, the neighbors are friendly...and it's quiet! Yes, I can happily live here.

My family and I are so grateful for Roundtree because before we moved here we fell into unfortunate circumstances. We had to move right away at such a short notice. And the Roundtree staff were so understanding of our situation. They worked with us and were determined to get us into an apartment. We're so blessed to have a roof over our head. The staff have been so nice and patient with us. We have been here for a few years. Anytime I may have a question or a problem Roundtree did their best to give advice or an answer and tried their best to resolve things as well. And even the maintenance has went out their way to make sure things got done when I had an issue. Especially the requests that I had made recently. They came out and fixed the problems right away. And I am so thankful for that. Our stay here has been really nice. Our neighbors have been really nice as well. We are so grateful and thankful to have a place to call home. God blessed us to have a place where we can rest our heads and be content. May God bless the Roundtree staff and team and families.

Im halfway through my third lease renewal, and I have never been so emphatically ready to find somewhere else to live. The best thing about living here has been the affordability, but I guess that shows that you get what you pay for. Last December our storage locker was completely thrown out while we were out of town, and I was basically told Oops. There is a police car or ambulance here almost every day. Ive been trying to get my gym card to at least use the amenities Im paying for, but it took a month for the office to get back to me about a card to get in. Once I finally got it, it didnt even work on the door. My neighbors all have black mold infestations in their apartments, and one has been without A/C since the summertime because of it. The LAUNDRY is an absolute nightmare. It costs 1.75 per load in the tiny washers, and I usually have to run multiple loads per week which adds up. DO NOT DO LAUNDRY HERE! They sent out a note during the summer time asking residents to stop putting trash in front of the dumpster, but when 24 apartments are sharing one dumpster (recycling is not even offered) it fills up QUICKLY, and oftentimes theres no space to put more trash in the dumpster. If youre looking for a low-stress place to live, McKinley properties are NOT it.

Ive lived here for 6 months now and I have to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE! Its so well kept and quiet. The neighbors are friendly. Such a pleasant neighborhood! I ADORE the sunroom and built in vanity! Staff and maintenance are always prompt and extremely helpful. Ive never even had to worry about my Amazon deliveries. I come home and theyre always right where the delivery man left them!

I moved in a few months ago and have had a STELLER experience here. When I called maintenance they were friendly and responded right away. The hall could use an update to be honest, but some one cleans our hallways every week and thank GOD that my neighbors keep it that way. The laundry room is clean and my neighbors are respectful of your things. I've even had packages left downstairs for extended periods and no one has ever tried to steal them. Coming from another property near here this is wonderful change. The lawn looked soo nice this summer we also had large Hydrangea's around our door. Just beautiful. I see a lot of people taking evening strolls as I'm taking mine. At this point we smile and greet each other. It feels like a community here. The new girl in the office is pleasant EVERY time you call. I hope she stays. They do seem to have a high office staff turn over. I think I've had 3 managers and I've been here less than 8 months. I didn't give a reduction in my rating because they were all really nice, but they don't seem to stay. I like it here.
