I have never felt so uncomfortable in a store.today 9/8/23 I went in with my son who happened to be in a stroller. I wasnt greeted by anybody until I approached the nail polish section and then right away multiple associates came up to me asking if I was doing okay. Well after about the third employee asking I quickly realized I was being targeted. I say this because they also made it very obvious they had been talking about me through their headsets and across the isles. The staff in general were unprofessional yelling down the isles talking to each other saying odd unprofessional things. A secret shopper then appeared who Im sorry wasnt discreet at all. Im not sure if her approach was to be super obvious but it was very apparent. I spent probably 20min in the nail polish isle taking pictures of the colors and looking them up on the ULTA website because for one I was looking for a very particular shade and two I have a child so I dont get out much. Nobody bothered to help me with that though. Having previous job experience working in high end retail I can understand the stroller being a red flag but dont make it so obvious! I was so uncomfortable. To make the matter worse I forgot my diaper bag with my wallet in the car (because mom life) so I had to quickly run to the car and the cashier Mia made it the most obvious that I had been targeted. She was so rude checking me out and was even giving me dirty looks while I was just standing there just trying to get the heck out at that point. I had zero intention of stealing a $10 nail polish and even used my ULTA credit card. The only nice employee was the one who held the door open for me on the way out. I will not return to this location.
