I would like to start by mentioning the things that I liked about the job. Mind you, I worked in the stamping department, therefore, I can only speak about my time in stamping.
Even though youre only given 2 breaks in the 10 hours that you work, the first break is 30 mins and the second break is 40 mins. I thought that was reasonable. Another thing I liked was that youre given a max of 15 points and every 6 months the points start back over at 0. The people were cool, but even with it being predominantly men in that department, there was still gossip and drama.
Now, on to what I didnt like. The job itself reminds you of the movie 8 Mile. The bathrooms were filthy. People dont flush the toilet. Theres writing on every wall in every bathroom. I guess thats the only way people can communicate because it seems as if the supervisors dont like when youre talking to your coworkers.
Its an idea job for older folks. If youre young, come in there with a plan and stick to it. Shouldnt make it a long term job. Youre not even considered to be hired in until 6 - 8 months of work as a temp making $14.50/hr, 6 days a week, doing a physically demanding job.
Also, question peoples intentions there. Most of the workers catch Uber, so if you have a ride, someone might try to befriend you because they seen you pull into the parking lot when you didnt notice.
