McKinley Elementary School

Teachers here think they are doctors and can diagnose your child as autistic. They allow bullying to happen and then when your child defends themselves they are the bully. Not only is there bullying by students but also staff. My child attend school here last yr and i witnessed teachers yelling at students,singeling children out. My son was accussed of pulling a fire alarm without any proof during the dismissal for the end of the day. In front of other students and parents he was verbally harrassed and belittled about the fire alarm to the point he was in tears. After they reviewed the cameras showing it was not him they never appoligized to him or me. He was also accused of stealing a teachers cell phone during lunch and he didn't even eat lunch in the cafeteria. They searched kindergarters backpacks to look for this cree phone's and they made it well know that they thought it was my son or two other little boys to their classmates. I could write a book on how terrible this school is.

Fixing to take my daughter here, thank you Patty! I figured it wasn't the greatest and got stuck with this one because my landlord sucks at getting the documents needed sent months ago when I asked! I will be certain to go to Carlson next year with my daughter which has more honest posts from parents and a higher rating! UPDATE: My daughter is attending now and she has been a handful, but they have been very good about safety and allowed me to sit in to correct her behaviour. I would recommend this school since they are very good with the children. I'm impressed.

Used to get beat up there in the 80s but I deserved it. Its a good school with great staff now.

I only put the one star so I could comment. But I get on the reviews and it's all students that are doing the reviews!. I'm a parent and would like to know the seriousness of the school not how "cool" it is or that so and so loves her friends. Come on parents!. Rate your child's schools. Don't you care about your community and schools?.
