I attended Middleton 20 years ago knowing if I ever returned to the industry, that's where I would go! Just became a realtor in December for the 2nd time! Lori and her staff are fantastic and provide helpful tips and tricks for recalling licensint information. I think you'll appreciate Middleton! Just sent my cousin there.

Consider this the only R.E. training school in the Detroit area. It was independently recommended to me by three very successful and well respected local brokers and I can see why. Reasons I love it: 1. It's a small, family owned company. 2. They give you lots of attention and answer all your questions 3. They are thorough and care because your success is important to them AND reflects on them 4. The instructors (one is the owner themselves) are so knowledgeable, for example they can recite long definitions and passages from memory 5. The instructors keep you engaged by including you in the lessons 6. And bonus: they have a good sense of humor

The benchmark in SE Michigan for real estate education! Loris incredible Michigan State law background that started as a teenager has produced an expert teacher, RE witness, and school for the training of our next generation of real estate professionals.

I successfully completed the one-week real estate salesperson's training with Middleton Real Estate Training Inc. I am delighted to say with the comprehensive and intensive training that Lori and her team provided, I passed the Michigan Exam first time go! I credit 100% of my success to Lori and Diane. First, Lori has a remarkable team of expert instructors at Middleton, truly professionals. For the one-week course, there is not a minute of downtime in the classroom. If you attend the one-week course, please come prepared to focus (not missing any hours and no cellphones or computers). Sounds like a lot, it is; but you will be thanking yourself after you pass the exam and don't spend additional money having to retake the exam. Second, the instructors will capture review the main areas of the required material and you should be ready to take notes (a ton of notes). Lori subscribes to the practice of building muscle memory --- it works! In addition to your copious notes. Lori has some of the best books, literature, selectively bond materials, and most importantly - her thumb drive about MI real estate laws (for an added expense but listened to it on my drive in/out, while walking the dog, and tortured my kids to listen on drives into school/practices). Learning material, like the instruction, is top notch. Finally, like everything in life - what you put into it - you will get out. There is tons (not kidding, tons) of homework. This is probably most underscored for the one-week course. Expect to spend 9-10 hours a day in classroom and 2-3 hours of homework each night. I say that not to scare you but to inform you that of probably any real estate school out there Lori wants to make you a winner but it will take your hard work. My insight, do all the homework - tests in binder, tests in book, and tests passed out in class. You will have a lot of material to ready but before you take your tests review your notes at least twice. Review your incorrect answers (there will be many) and categorize by topic the ones you miss so you know which area to go back to study again. You will need to pass her exam before she will generate your certificate to take the PSI exam. Most don't pass on the first time go (Lors exam). I did, by a hair on my chin, but she wants to make sure you are ready to take the state exam. Note, there is a ton of math associated with the material. If you haven't brushed off your algebra in the last couple of years, it is time to do that now (there are a few x's or y's you will need to solve for). The other option is to memorize all the equations - that is an option too but the math problems in the state exam are wordy and may not be plug-and-play. I tell you all this not to generate fear (hopefully I didn't do that) but to let you know how serious Lori and her team of professional are about making you successful. Maybe you have other questions about getting started, there are a bunch of us excited to help you and welcome you into the career of real estate. I hope this information helped. If you have more questions and need a mentor, I would be delighted to help in any way - hit me up on a message on LinkedIn (Keirya Langkamp).
