We absolutely loved this school! Kirsten, the director, is great to work with. The teachers are so kind and loving. You really felt part of a community. We are so sad to leave. We would highly recommend this school.

My family highly recommends Somerset Academy and my 4 year old has LOVED being in the Pre-k class! Somerset is NAEYC accredited with a top notch curriculum. What sets Somerset Academy apart from other local preschool programs are the teaching and administration staff's education and experience in the field of early childhood! It's top notch with all teachers holding at least Bachelor degrees in Education and many with advanced teaching degrees which is almost unheard of in preschool programs! There are also multiple avenues of communication from the teachers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis so that families are in constant contact regarding their child's growth and development. And great enrichment programs included in tuition such as weekly Spanish class and the nationally recognized Handwriting Without Tears handwriting curriculum. I am so impressed with Somerset and will recommend it to any family looking for a warm, nurturing and fun learning environment!

"This is our third year (second child) at Somerset Academy and we couldn't be happier. The entire staff is wonderful. The passion for education and learning is contagious. The staff is extremely well organized and professional and we always feel safe with leaving our children each day. Everything from activities to snacks (always healthy) are thought out and focus on encouraging growth and diversity. Parent involvement is always encouraged and positively received. We can't thank Somerset Academy enough and look forward to our third child attending in the future. As a lifelong resident of Troy, I know just how great the Troy school system is and how competitive it is for preschoolers, pre-K, and young fives. Our oldest was extremely prepared for Kindergarten and is thriving. Without question, we made an excellent choice in choosing Somerset Academy.
