        I havent been in a movie theater in more than two years and I was in town for the weekend. I was so excited to see a theater with thorough, in touch, current health protections which enabled me to finally watch a movie in a theater! Beautiful theater, comfortable seats and reasonably priced tickets!

        The State is on the main street of downtown Traverse City, so right in the middle of shopping and great restaurants. This theater is manned totally by volunteers and community supported, so it's even better to buy tickets and support the cause of keeping these theaters open. I highly commend them for making patron health their highest priority. Make sure you can show a copy of your vaccine card to get in. The seats are comfortable, leg room good. You are spaced out in reserved seating and do not feel too close to others at all. I highly recommend the State and the Bijou by the Bay ;)
