To make this review blunt, do NOT use Comfort Heating. They will continue to milk money from you. I spoke with the previous owner of my house and even he fired comfort heating from coming to this house. Now I understand why. I spoke to comfort heating owner himself after having several issues & visits from comfort heating with no solutions. They just kept taking my money with poor quality work. The technician even left my home with the AC on during winter. He and the CH owner called me a liar, using all kinds of colorful language. His own technicians came out and said themselves the type of humidfier unit they installed, which was the AprilAire 700 model is not designed to humidify a house of this size not to mention a house that is heated by radiant heat, it needs hot furnace air to run through the humidifier for it to work. Both the technician and the owner then called me a liar again as if I enjoy paying thousands of dollars to have them come out and fix their mistakes. The technician said he could install a 2nd 700 model unit but that wont do any good either because they need the furnace to be running hot air through them for it to truly humidifier properly. Our house does not meet the qualifications for that unit. He then asked why I wanted that model installed. I never said I did. I asked them to install what needs to be installed for this type of house because obviously the previous model broke and was insufficient. The current 700 is running 24/7 and never goes above 20% humidity. He then asked if i wanted him to redo my entire ductwork for my house. The ductwork is fine. Airflow is amazing. Ive had three other companies come out and say that Comfort Heating is known for scamming people and being unprofessional. The comfort heating technician even told me directly This is the wrong humidifier unit for this house. A steam powered humidifier shouldve been installed on this because this house was designed to be heated with only radiant heat, which is why there is no other FURNACE thermostat in the lower level. Theres only one thermostat and thats for radiant heat. Otherwise theres 12 other thermostat zones in this 7,000sqft house for radiant heat. And only 3 thermostats that are for the backup furnace heat. Not to mention I do have the cell phone number of the home builder who also confirmed the house was designed for radiant heat, the furnace is a backup. But the comfort heating owner still called me a liar and said I didnt know what Im talking about because I didnt build the house. However, they themselves eventually admitted what I really needed now is an external humidifier. OK, so we went from them recommend installing the Aprilair 700 model to a giant external humidifier. which they knew the 700 wouldnt work because the place is heated by radiant heat, and not the furnace. The furnace is only an emergency backup and use for air-conditioning and proper airflow and humidifying. But they still installed a 700 model anyway when they knew it wouldnt work. I had them come out two or three times and they could see that it was running nonstop 24/7 because it could not humidify my 7,000sqft size of house. But now suddenly they have this brilliant idea that oh maybe we should have installed an external humidifier because were so smart and experienced we shouldve recommended that from the first day. But dont worry when you call them and ask them any questions and start proving them wrong, and quoting what they (on camera) said theyll call you ,and I quote, a f-ing liar. Oh, and by the way to the owner of comfort heating, and the technicians. My house is surrounded by internal cameras and Mics through our security system which is posted everywhere. All I wanted was an answer and instead you called me a f-ing liar, took my money and left the job unfinished. There are still radiant heat hoses hanging from the ceiling that your team said they would fix because they dangerous as is. Thanks for leaving our hime unfinished and in a dangerous state for my family and children.
