The car was fine except as soon as I picked it up it needed an oil change.
Pick up hours in traverse city were very limited and the drop off instructions were extremely poor. Had to stand in line for an hour just to find out the drop off procedure.

Excellent Service. Professional Employees and pleasant to work with.
The Avis vehicles are always clean and in great condition. I do business with them every week and my experience has always been great!

Drove all the way across town to pick up a rental and a) they wouldnt take my card b) they wanted to charge me $250 more than my estimate when I reserved online a week ago and c) the person behind the counter was incredibly rude. You couldnt pay me to come back.

When we checked out the car, the clerk said that we could switch the credit card with which we paid when we got back. When we got to the car, the tank was not full, so we took a photo of the gauge and thought we could resolve that when we checked back in. However, when we returned with a full tank, the clerkthe same woman from whom we got the car initiallysaid she could not switch the credit card or refund us for the gas deficiency because I had prepaid. She also said I must not have reserved through Avi me and thought the discount code MIDWEEK PUSH was a booking agent. When I reserved the car, I remember reserving through Avis directly and clearly clicking all the buttons needed to reserve without prepaying and never authorized prepayment. And then, after we left the drop-off counter, I received an email saying I was just charged for more than the amount estimated with the reservation. Either Avis trained its TVC clerk very poorly or they are scamming customers out of tens of dollars each time, thinking we wont bother to dispute. Either way, I will avoid Avis in the future and tell my friends and family to avoid Avis too!
