Terrible service and follow through. We stopped in foundvtwo countertoos we were interested in and asked for estimates. After not hearing back on our estimate I called in to discover they had not started working on it, but promised theyd get it done and call us the next day. It has now been three weeks since my last contact and have not heard a word. Since they cant get their act together to write a simple estimate, I would not trust them to complete the work in my home. Very bad customer service!

Stay away from Northwood Kitchens!! After paying $30k to Northwood Kitchens, we were told our cabinets had been ordered and paid for in December 2021. We experienced 8 months of being strung along with so many lies and excuses from Jenni Henderson, owner of Northwood Kitchens, as to the status of our cabinets. In all of those months, she was never able to provide proof (from the cabinet manufacturer) that our cabinets had indeed been ordered and paid for. We hired an attorney to get to the bottom of what was really going on with our kitchen order. Attorney sent a letter to Jenni Henderson, to which she never responded. We found out that our kitchen cabinets, counter top, sink and faucet had never been ordered or paid for and after learning we were not the only people scammed by Jenni Henderson, we were advised to pursue criminal action against her and Northwood Kitchens. We filed a report with Michigan State Police. We're grateful to have gone this route as we were fortunate enough to get all of our money back from Northwood Kitchens!! Do not do business with Northwood Kitchens!

Jenni Henderson, the proprietor of Northwood Kitchens, comes across as very professional, honest, and wanting to help, but BEWARE!!!! She is not.  She is unreliable and purposefully deceitful.  We started our Kitchen Project in 2019 at the start of the COVID crisis.  So, at that time her many excuses for not being able to do the work were fairly acceptable.  Unfortunately, as time pressed on her excuses never stopped.  It is now September 2022 and our paid-for $20,000+ project is still not completed.   We are lacking promised and paid for cabinetry, floor repairs, and construction completion.  She has a never-ending supply of excuses once she has your money.  This project was for my 80-year-old mother to give her the kitchen she wished for.  Henderson started the project by gutting the existing kitchen and bathroom leaving my mother without running water other than the toilet and bathtub. For 6 months!  After many excuses about cabinet construction delays and not being able to find a cabinet installer to do the job for her, she finally got the cabinets and found an installer.  Not all the cabinets as there were issues at the factory delaying some of them. Apparently forever.  We understood later why she may have truly had a difficult time finding an installer.  At that time, we thought things would now move smoothly.  But no nothing moves smoothly with this woman. The installer installed the cabinets provided by Henderson, but all the cabinets were not available at the time.  More delays; and of course, no delay is the fault of Henderson, it is always someone she works with or contracts with.  The original installer had to take Henderson to court to get his payment.  Surprise Surprise.  So, then she must find another installer to finish the installation.  New countertops for the new remodel were part of the project.  Henderson can't get the paid-for countertops proposed completed!  Problems at her countertop fabricator.  Delay delay delay.  We end up going to Home Depot for countertops and having them install them.  That small part of our project dealing with Home Depot went smoothly.  Henderson agreed to deduct the kitchen and bath countertop installation from our total and refund the difference.  Of course, we are still waiting on this $3,000+ refund.  After years of dealing with her excuses about not being able to find a contractor to finish the job I found a licensed contractor to do it and all she had to do was provide the apparent cabinetry she already indicated was in her possession, and we could finish it.  She came out to the house to apologize for everyone delaying our project (everyone except the project leader, herself of course) and reevaluate the job; since she apparently had forgotten what she was supposed to do.  She agreed to hire the contractor we found to finish the job.  She followed up on this promise by refusing to communicate with us anymore.  Thus, after years of being patient with this quack of a woman and waiting endlessly on all her blather and BS excuses we have finally given up on her.  I placed a complaint with the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the BBB, and the Department of Attorney General's Criminal Division. We are waiting for assistance from these organizations.  At best we hope to have her forced to refund what we are owed, finish the job or surrender our cabinetry; and at the very least we hope to warn others away from this fraudulent business.  This was our first dealings with Northwood Kitchen on the recommendations of a mutual friend.  Northwood Kitchen has existed for 40+ years, but as I understand it Jenni Henderson, the daughter of the original owner has only been apparently running it into the ground since 2019.  Don't beware of dealing with this establishment, don't deal with this establishment.  I can't believe Henderson maliciously singled out an 80-year-old grandmother to swindle.  We can't be alone.
