So I brought my best friend of 30 years to Quinns, who has breast cancer and just lost all her beautiful hair and was looking for a quality wig. I was told the lady who owned it had also gone through cancer and sold wigs out of compassion for other women with the same issue. When we got there we were so glad they were opened and I was excited to think of the warm, compassionate greeting we were about to get for my dear friend..but such was not the case. we stood there looking around feeling awkward as everyone ignored us. There were a few women doing hair and and no one acknowledged us as we looked around not knowing how we were supposed to shop or look or purchase anything. We saw many beautiful wigs and desperately wanted to get a better look or even possibly try a couple? We didn't know what to do. We did find a couple of hats on a rack that we did end up purchasing. Finally an man showed up and asked did we need something? We told him we were interested in purchasing a wig and wondered if we could have a closer look at them as they were up high out of reach. He said no that there was no one to show them to us and we would have to talk to a woman who wasn't there on a day when she was working. My friend told him she was from up north 2 hours away and was just visiting until the following day. He said "oh well I don't know anything about the wigs and no one else here does either." So with no one to help we asked if we could try on a couple of the hats but he told us no because of germs. I thought someone should tell all the other stores that sell hats about this germ problem. Never the less we did purchase two hats. We asked him to cash us out. He said well how much are they? And we calculated the cost and he said, "well what is the tax on that?" I almost laughed at him if I hadn't been so amazed at his lack of care, paltry costumer service and zero professionalism. Wow, seriously this was such a sad experience. I was embarrassed for them and for myself for bringing my best friend there. No one else can sell a wig? Really? Like who was that guy anyway?? And what was he doing there? Sadly this seems to be the only game in town for wigs unless you go to the costume shop? So the moral of the story? No competition doesn't make for good costumer service? But there is competition as it turns out. Its called Google and Amazon. I see no reason not to go that rout.
