        Great birding! Parking area closes in Winter, which is frustrating but overcome by parking on the road on the North side of the park.

        Well maintained park that takes you over and next to the Galien River. Beautiful Beech and Maple trees, large community of different mushrooms too! We hiked 1 mile until we hit the road and came back, so total of 2 miles. We didnt see any restrooms. We appreciated the informative bulletin they have of the state park history. We enjoyed our hike!
