I’ve used them a couple separate times because their prices are so reasonable. Very good work, offer to let you keep the wood, or have it removed, etc. Flexible and timely with requests.

Honestly I chose this company because of there longevity in the area ( over 60 yrs) and didn't bother with anyone else's estimate. The owner Pat came out with his tree cutter, more to oversee the process and help survey what needed to be done then they gave me an estimate which I was comfortable with which included four people on the job and to be finished in a 4 hours. boy were they wrong. Little did I know what kind of headache I would end up with during and after the job was done. first of all, they did not show up until almost an hour past the time we had made the appointment for and that was after I called them to make sure I had the correct date and was told they had mechanical problems. Once they showed up, the driver of the arial ladder which is an older ladder fire truck ran over the curb and onto softer soil and that made indentations that later had to be filled with soil and reseeded and while the fire truck is somewhat of a novelty presence in your yard, believe me, it will ruin your grass by compacting your soil when the stabilizers on both sides of the truck are deployed and they have to use them to keep the truck level and stable, so be aware if you don't want your grass left with deep indentations. secondly was the help. I was told 4 people would be working but it was 3 on the day they came and only one actually does work and that is Mike, the tree cutter. he is experienced and knows his job but it was his help that dragged the process out by not following Mike's directions and wasting time. the driver of the fire truck had to turn the truck around because it was "overheating" and that made another mess with the stabilizers put in another place and more indentations in the front yard and that is something he should've known ahead of time. the tree cutting itself or thinning took almost 8 hours alone and much of that is because the ariel ladder is very slow moving and someone has to drive the ladder to the cutter, where a bucket would be much faster. Then, one of the helpers had maneuvered the stump grinder in the yard where the stump was, only to find out later, the grinder didn't work hence, more wasted time AND more yard tearing up and indentations from it. Mike came back five days later after fixing the grinder to do the stump. Also, they also had driven a truck with the brush chipper behind the house to make things "easier" into the storm drain along side of the road that had water in it so that made a muddy mess and ruined an otherwise level grass. Eventually that truck and chipper had to be chained and pulled out with the fire truck because it was stuck. Overall, what a mess, certainly not what I signed up for from the beginning. there was terrible communication between the office and workers and poorly maintained equipment. They tried to make things right by bringing in soil and seed to repair the damage, again by a helper who knew nothing about landscaping and didn't even sow the seed he threw down so I had to put in extra time and money myself to fix what they did. Mike the tree trimmer is very good and communicates well but come to find out, he 's only been with the company for several months so he is basically their bread and butter. I have no need for anymore services and if i did, I will call around and get things in writing as anyone should. it was a bad week for what should have been a simple job for those in the business.
