Hampton Inn & Suites Detroit/Sterling Heights

The hotel itself is great, love the digital key option. The room was very out-dated and in need of repair. The nightstands were falling off wall & held up with random boards. The ottomans had broken wheels. The tubas caulking and tub itself were in need of replacing.

I just got off of the phone with this location and wow. Terrible customer service. I was booking a room for my boyfriends birthday to invite his family and so we can all be together since theyre out of state. I wanted to edit the card details ( I couldnt online bc their site is down) and I believe I spoke to Tony(??) the general manager who refused to give me his name but I ended up finding it online ( I could be wrong ). I originally called customer service and they connected me to the hotel. When the lady I spoke to picked up she was very impatient and kept huffing/puffing when I spoke. I work in customer service so Im always extremely nice but you can obviously tell she hates her job and doesnt wanna work there. Now for the GM at this location, he was extremely rude as well. He also answered the phone in a hostile manner. I took a video of the phone call and he proves the words Im writing in this review. I understand it couldve been a bad day but I was utterly shocked and how they handled this situation. At the very end of the video you can hear me ask for his name twice ( not to sound like a Karen) and he says sound great its canceled have a good day wow.

I don't want to get anyone in trouble but someone needs to have a serious talk with housekeeping. My room was fine but the my bathroom was disgusting and I was told there were no other rooms available to switch to.
