Detroit Marriott Southfield

My Love brought me to the city for my 50th birthday celebration. The hotel was very clean, great location and the room was nice. The staff and service was excellent, especially Ms. Katesha at the front desk. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return again.

We checked in and was told that the restaurant would be open until at least 9:30 pm. So we went for a swim and got back to our room 9:05 and called for room service and was notified that the restaurant had CLOSED early because it was slow! Then, the following morning, I went to make coffee, and there was only one coffee cup, so I tried to order room service. After calling 4 times, finally, the front desk took my order. Then 1 hour later my food arrived COLD! For what this room cost the service was not up to Marriott standards! I won't be returning to this hotel!

Had an okay stay. Order breakfast to the room in the morning was completely overpriced 3 plates over eighty-five dollars. Price, not the issue. The quality of the food was terrible, full of grease cold. All literally just thrown into a to go plate . When arriving, the room was dirty with toe nails all on the counter next to the bed Crumbles of food all in the bed The couch was full of bugs, and we placed cover on the couch, but my daughter still got eaten up. The pool was disorganized and never cleaned, nor were the towels ever restocked during a 3 day stay. Very mediocre I was booked twice for the room. It took a week for the money to hit my account. Make sure to ask and verify what they're going to charge your credit card before for putting it into the scanner. To make sure they don't double charge you. BE CAUTIOUS The second day, I woke up as I was walking out of my room. I heard one of the cleaning ladies ask another one ..... did you find anything good in there (room) she replied not yet They looked at me like they were caught SMH. Be careful not to leave any valuables in your room.. Aside from everything that was reported, we still had a great time and made it work.
