    Many different people show up during their care for my mother. It was difficult to understand who is really looking after my mother. When it was time for my mother to move on from this life, hospice was called. No one from hospice show up at the facility to see my mother, and no call from any of the care providers. My mother passed away with no one from hospice present and her family called. Deplorable, do not do business with this company, they robbed us of being with my mother during her last moments on this earth.

    Awful, awful, awful! The NP, Cora, was training someone during my family members visit and actually stated, We didnt expect him to live this long. My father heard that comment as she spoke it in the same room that he was in. He called me very upset and understandably so. What type of nurse does this ?!? TERRIBLE!! This same nurse practitioner, after cleaning my dads ears out stated that it was not her job to do that and furthermore, doesnt get paid to do that. I was appalled to hear this ! Their nurses, regular and on-call are rude and inconsiderate (Natalie) and quite frankly, should not be hospice nurses. We are talking about the end of someones life !! Where is the kindness and consideration for human dignity? This company is terrible !! I could go on and I will in subsequent reviews.

    From the staff who did the phone intake, to the nurses and social worker who visited, and nurses and physician who were on call, all provided outstanding care to my father, and tremendous support to me and my family. The employees of Kindred Hospice that we worked with were truly professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, resourceful and dedicated. I'm also grateful to Kindred's grief counselor Mary, who was so kind to follow up with me several times after my dad died. I'd give 10 stars to this agency if that were an option! I'm a recently-retired nurse practitioner who has had past experience with two other Michigan hospice agencies for my family - one excellent and one horrible. We chose Kindred because they were providing care to other patients in the Memory Care facility where my dad was a new resident, and were well known and liked there. Not an easy journey, but Kindred's team is exceptional.
