I went here for many years and I miss a lot of people there. Sadly I have to say that not everyone there is going to be a good experience, therapists, case workers, and peer workers. I was often made out to be this aggressive person and during my last appointment with a therapist I had to break it off with because it wasn't working, they kept grilling me saying "I don't know why you came to this appointment, there's nothing to be worked on." Which turned into being barred from DBT services for several weeks for "aggressive behavior" when the therapist seemed almost hostile toward me but they more than likely got off without even a warning; even discouraged me from going to grievances with their behavior saying "Well that's not how we do things here." Another instance is a psychiatric doctor there that, out of the blue, asked me "How much pot do you smoke?" I didn't smoke any, she spread the rumor apparently because later on I heard it from both my case manager and one of my peer workers. This place will punish you if you're so ill you can't show up to appointments, and I'm not saying contagious sickness, just mental illness. I wouldn't say to avoid this place, but don't be afraid to stick up for yourself and go to grievances when you have a problem.

Hiawatha helped me through a huge struggle in my life. I had a breakup with a girlfriend while at LSSU that turned me upside down. I lost weight, couldn't sleep, and wasn't even able to get out of bed. Grades were slipping and I was no longer going to graduated. They have a crisis counselor that I was able to go into when ever needed for free. For the first month I was in there everyday. Someone to talk to, and give me pointers on how to get out of my state. Getting though this point in my life was the most difficult thing I've ever done but they helped me every step of the way. Trust me I was truly a mess. As time went on I was there less and less until I could get a hold of my depression. I can't recommended a better place if you need help. If you're ever in a state in your life where you need help, please head over to them.
