Used him for personal income taxes for about 7 years but I'm done with him. Each of the last two years, 2022 and 2023, his lack of attention to detail has blown up in my face with significant taxes due for us. This occurred in spite of my painstaking efforts to have our situations reviewed in advance in order to pay the appropriate amount of estimated taxes. Both years involved the sale of second homes. All of my communications with him were via email so there was no mistaking my requests for guidance and no mistaking the financial facts of our situation. His lack of attention to details resulted in unexpected taxes due of $13,000 in 2022 and $4,600 for 2023 but he collected his fees each year. The email chains make it impossible for him to refute. While his response indicates he is confident he provided the right direction, he fails to admit that he admitted to screwing up with the 2022 tax calculations and that is also in email. After the latest issue for 2023, he simply refused to respond to my last two emails where i expressed my frustration. It appears he also deactivated my tax dome account. Note that he was paid for his poor service.
