Mattson Floor

I just recently had LVP installed in a rental unit of mine and I am now having a tenant wait to move in due to issues that have occurred. This was my first time using Mattson Floor and likely will be my last. Everything was phenomenal from the beginning. Justin was professional and knowledgeable, Mattson Floor answered all my calls promptly, and the floor looked great (at first). Over time boards started to pop up and gaps were formed. Left and right new issues were arising, when one board shifted another followed right behind it. My assessment of the job is that many corners were cut to finish the work in a timely fashion. Although my timeline was met by Mattson Floor, I am now left with an even bigger problem and an upset tenant.

Mattson Floor did an awesome job with our home. Very good staff and very personable. Their showroom helped us learn more about our options. Will definitely use them again.

My wife and I have been searching for a trusted source to go through for our new hardwood floors for years now. We finally found Mattson Floor, a friend of ours mentioned they did good business and had used them for their own floors. Unfortunately our experience has not been nearly the same. We trusted the reputation of a 3rd generation company only to find out things are NOT what they once were. After talking to some other customers of Mattson we know, there is a consensus the quality has plummeted over the years. Justin Mattson himself convincingly assured us their years of experience is what makes them the best value. We trusted his word and went with Mattson Floor. The craftsmanship was nothing like were were promised. We could barely consider it craftsmanship. Thousands and thousands of dollars spent to be left with a floor that has sticky puddles left in the finish. We felt deceived, maybe even lied to. We contacted Mattson Floor and were treated poorly by the gentlemen who answered the phone. Instead of addressing the situation we were questioned about leaving a window or door open. It was made out to be our fault. We tried our best to find a compromise, a discount, another coat on the floor possibly. They wouldnt give us either and even had the audacity to offer a price for a re-coat. In my 50 years this has been one of my worst interactions with a company. The lack of professionalism and poor craftsmanship is unacceptable. Use your own judgement when deciding which flooring company to use. Hopefully you heed my warning and save yourself the struggle and heartache that my wife and I had to go through when dealing with Mattson Floor.

The owner and staff at Mattson Floor have provided excellent customer service and high quality work whenever we needed help with a flooring project. Justin and his staff are responsive, knowledgeable, honest and patient. Highly recommend!
