I hired Steve a few years ago to help with tax and other debt issues. He told me he could handle the job he was qualified. He asked for a $3,000 retainer and I gave him a check for that amount and he cashed it the very same day. We then had a meeting a few days later, he came to my place. The meeting was less than an hour. During this meeting I asked about signing a contract or whatever was required. He told me I did not need to sign anything. After that my concern obviously grew, since I knew he had had already cashed my check. The first time I called Steve, a couple weeks after our meeting, he said he couldn’t find the papers I had given him and he made some comment about his “ cat “ being on my papers. I know this sounds too crazy but it’s sadly true!! Weeks, months and now years later after chasing after Steve nothing was ever got accomplished. I had to hire somebody else. I lost my money to him. I was already struggling and he just made it so much worse!!! I do not recommend him to anybody for anything!!!! Idk Maybe cat sitting.

I put retainer up for business case he failed to file any of the forms and got the case put into default then he changed his number kept the 1500$ and never responded again if I could give him no stars I would

Steven is currently handling my criminal case where my boyfriend landed me in jail and he truly understands my mistakes and kindly laments me for my bad decisions. He reminds me of my grandpa because he spends time lecturing me if I am stubborn and I get the sense he actually cares about me. Five stars.

How diverse in his knowledge of law! Paid him less than any other lawyers I spoke with for my bankruptcy and he still spoke to me about anything I asked about other issues and friends' legal problems. Through his connections he put me in touch with someone close to the Michigan attorney general. Hopefully my expungement works out. All in all, nice guy, loves to talk.
