I had my truck Service at Gordie's Garage because Genesis Chevrolet in East Pointe would not service my car because it had too many miles on it, I never heard of a dealership that refuses to service their own brand, but GM is one those car companies, Gordies did the best job servicing my truck. I rather take it to Gordies than the dealer, they told me what it might need and it runs great, thank you, Gordie's Garage

I brought my vehicle to Gordie"s Garage for an oil change today. I have a 25 dollar credit I get to use from getting a front wheel alignment that i got from there before. They have a nice waiting area with comfortable chairs, phone charging station, TV to watch, coffee station, little table with chairs for the kiddos with a table top toy situation very clean
in the waiting area. McDonalsds is right across the street. I think they also have a shuttle if you don't want to wait around. I had a very good experience there. Very knowledgeable in there. It's a win! 100 pct. Very nice and customer friendly.

They are organized criminals, or they are trying to be. On 02/04/2024 - 02/08/2024 they had my Ford Flex 2011. I needed a rack and pinion replacement and for an engine problem to be diagnosed, which I told them the error code was p0016 and I asked them to look at certain parts before opening up the engine.
They refused to do any work without doing a diagnostic. They were not transparent about the diagnostic process or what they would be looking at.
After the diagnostic they told me I needed to replace 20+ old parts that had nothing to do with my problems, and didn't look into the error code at all. They also lied to me about my brake lights not working. I was very confused about why they did what they did and I was sure that my lights were all working.
I came up to the shop on 02/05/2024 asking to get some things out of the car. I turned the car on and checked my brake lights and sure enough they all worked. Jay was my service advisor and he was not there at that time so I called the next day.
On the phone I asked Jay which lights weren't working and he told me all the brake lights were not working, I told him that he was lying and that they did not do diagnostics correctly and that I didn't approve full diagnostics. I'm not even sure what kind of diagnostics they did, but it was very poor and money grabby. They tried to make me pay for unnecessary repairs, and lied about parts being broken when they were not.
They refused to use warranty parts, lied about their hourly rate, tried charging me $10k to replace a timing chain and they gouged me every step of the way. I am currently seeking legal action against Gordies Garage and I am doing my best to get their license suspended or revoked for breaking consumer laws and auto repair laws.
I feel horrible for others who have used Gordies Garage because I know for a fact that they screwed everyone as much as possible, especially if they don't know anything about cars. It's truly despicable, disgusting, dishonorable, and sickening that repair shops like this exist.
Gordies Garage employs mechanics who's main repair strategy is to deceive, gouge, manipulate, trick, and extort their customers to get as much money out of them as possible.
After I caught them they stopped messing around and they knew that they couldn't trick me into spending any more money.
These business practices don't belong in Michigan, let alone the US. it's about time this shop gets the karna they deserve.
