Took my toddler today for the first time to family play class and so glad I did! She had so much fun and the teacher was wonderful and entertaining. We will be back!

We attended a sat family open session. The place is clean. The activities were age appropriate and we did have a lot of fun. The lead instructor was great. Why did it get 2 stars? They told us that there were too many kids with 2 parent children. They asked one parent to stand in the lobby. For the price you pay, both patients should be able to participate. Or they should tell you one parent per child. It was so crowded that it was hard to play in the gym or participate in the activities. They really need to not pack the kids in.

Hello,We are so happy to hear you had so much fun with your child at Gymboree! Gymboree in Michigan always has full classes this time of year due to frigid temperatures outside. Multiple parents and caregivers are always welcome to accommodate their child into any class Gymboree offers. When our classes do reach capacity, and so it’s NOT crowded and everyone can participate, we will ask for families that have ONE child and TWO parents to have the adults take turns going in and out. We like to accommodate families who have working parents and can only come together on Saturdays, but at the same time we do have to enforce capacity limits. When you give a low rating to a small business can be harmful and detract future growth. I really love this Gymboree, so much so that after spending two years there with my son, I returned 6 years later after having my daughter. And, with her, I made sure we started at 6 months old. We've always done the membership format, which is really quite a deal considering what you pay per class for most children's activities. Some weeks, we were there 4 days in a row, taking part in either the family class (one hour and open to all ages) or the age-specific class (45-minutes and tailored specifically to the development of age-appropriate skills). The owner, Shannon, is so warm and welcoming and has always made us feel like family. She remembers every child's name and what they're interested in, and makes them all feel special. She also welcomes children with varying challenges, never making them feel like they are different from any other child. I truly believe that Gymboree made a real impact on both of my children, both physically and socially. Outside of Gymboree, they both never hesitate to try the big slide, or the climbing structure, nor do they shy away from making a new friend. I especially like the cell phone policy here - please take as many photos or videos as you want, but don't be calling or texting during class. It's nice to look around the room and see parents really interacting with their children and having an hour away from work and other responsibilities. I've made my own lifelong friends from Gymboree. We've spent birthdays, holidays, and special occasions together, and some of our kids are now even in the same elementary school class! Gymboree Rochester Hills is a really special place, not just for the kids, but for us parents as well!

We love going to Gymboree! My 10 month old son loves it! The instructors are so great and really make the class fun and beneficial! You can tell the staff loves what they do and it makes for a great time!
