Horizon Bank

They're friendly and helpful to me every time I come in. I've been with this bank for so many years. I couldn't ask for a better bank. I appreciate what they do.

EDIT TO MY REVIEW: After posting my review, the branch manager called me to hear more about what happened. She apologized and wanted to be sure to make it right by offering some guidance and training to her staff. I appreciated her call, her empathy to our situation, and her commitment to making sure things were done right in the future. (I'll pop back to update my stars after I visit and see that the follow through has happened!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recently I had to change my name on some paperwork for my joint account with my mother. We stopped in and the teller was friendly; I signed a paper, asked if there was anything else or if there was a confirmation I could get and was told there was nothing else to do and the account would be updated. The next day, a Friday, my mom gets a call saying that they forgot to have me sign something (frustrating since I specifically asked if there was anything else) and that if I didnt get back to sign it by 5pm (or during the Saturday morning hours) her account would be frozen. I understand sometimes mistakes happen, but the reason for this 1 star is the way this was handled specifically by Travis at the Centre Street office. When I called to verify what was going on and see what my options were (I was out of town) Travis was short, snippy and rude. Not once in ANY of the conversation was there an apology or acknowledgement of the mistake the branch made and the inconvenience it was causing me. In fact, Traviss tone was more threatening with his insistence that if I didnt make it to the bank by Saturday morning my moms accounts would be frozen. This is not the right way to treat another human being and I hope that Horizon Bank will provide some training in quality customer service to those (specifically Travis in this case) who are representing their company. In the meantime, when her affairs are in order we will be moving her account elsewhere.

Bought a car through a dealer who finances through Horizon and the experience has been negative in all ways. Statements provided by bank are inaccurate, payments are received but not posted for anywhere from 5 to 10 days later. Multiple times when I've called customer service the agent does zero identify verification before giving out account information and details, would be incredibly easy to get unauthorized access to an account. Website is buggy, poorly designed and lacking functions even the smallest credit unions offer. Am moving the loan to a more professional bank as we speak.

Originally this was 2 star for a bad review, However, It should be a -10 star. Their website is BAD! But after my initial review instead of reaching out on the platform the looked up my information in the system. WHICH IS TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE. If confidentiality or security is not pillar of your bank you should find another bank!
