When I called, I initially thought the quoted inspection price was a tad high, but I got a good vibe so stuck with it. Boy, I got my money's worth and then some! I am very glad I used Aim-Home Inspection as my inspector. Mr. Tow spent over 4 hours performing a detailed inspection of the (only moderately sized) property I was considering buying. In his walk through with me, Mr. Tow astutely pointed out everything from old valves and loose vents to land drainage issues. While I'm 100% confident in the quality of Aim-Home's written inspection report, in my opinion it is ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE that you accompany the inspector in person. This is because - even at 30 pages, the written report can really only can cover the main elements of the inspection (i.e. the '4 point' inspection, or whatever you asked for). But if you're accompanying the inspector in person, you'll get 3x whats in that written report pointed out to you verbally along with lots of helpful tips as to how to fix it. Mr. Tow also took a substantial amount of time out of his busy day to suggest to me how I might easily modify (by contracting with a plumber) the cottage's plumbing to permit do-it-yourself winterizing (with drinkable antifreeze) at low cost each year. (The previous owner was paying a plumber 2x a year to blow out the pipes.) As someone completely inexperienced with home ownership, care, winterizing, etc, all Mr. Tow's detailed advice was VERY helpful. I would definitely enlist the services of Aim-Home Inspection again! Covering all of the necessary points and answering questions that came up, I was very pleased with the inspection provided. K. Mays March,2018 I just had the need of Miltons inspection services for the second time since January. He was prompt, thorough and very professional. I used his services the second time because he provided me enough information to make a decision about not purchasing a property that would have been a bad investment. His reports are complete and unbiased. Lots of pictures with explanations, details and solutions.
