I called to schedule an appointment for my child who lost a parent and they said 48 hours to return my call. I called maybe 6 times and they never called me back. Absolutely useless

This place is absolutely terrible! They come out to your home for an hour to play with your kid, theyre just collecting a check from the state until your kid ages out of the program. Dont even waste your time with this place. Negative 5 stars in my book!

Oakland Family Services(OFS) did a decent job initially with one of two cases. The second was mishandled from day one, ideologically driven, and intentionally exploitive of the social services systems without a hint of remorse. One case was male, the second female. Coincidence? Hardly. Even when corrected and led down the correct path for resolution OFS female staff members would routinely interject a man bad female good dynamic into their interactions with children. The results have been observed, documented, and discussed with those negatively impacted. I hope they turn this around because they do have something positive to offer when they are not trying to rewrite history to suit their ideological narratives. Godspeed

Made a call to Oakland Family Services seeking help, only to be told there is at least a 90 day wait list to be seen. So much for mental health being a priority.

They are just plain terrible . Im not going into detail because my family situation is very personal . But what I can say this place is a complete scam . They take kids and try everything for you to not get your own kids back for them checks . I would NOT recommend this place for any situation whats so ever . God will handle them , they will get their karma for the things they have done to people especially the women who are fighting for dear life to get they kids back!! When my family situation is over we will be 1000% suing the agency. Just wanted to share a little bit of my experience and what I have seen with my own 2 eyeballs . Have a blessed day !!!
