We LOVE this school and I can't say enough good things about it! The teachers first and foremost have been incredible! They are patient but firm, create a fun and exciting learning experience, and hold attainable but high educational standards. The facilities are in excellent condition and the online/in-person learning are two options but also one, meaning we are in-person but when home sick or have a late travel return, my kids stay caught up. The students here are kind to eachother, they are diverse and they create an accepting environment for all the kids. I love that my boys have friends from many different grades, gender, age, ethnicity, etc. A smaller school like this gives my kids the opportunity to see the value that each child brings! I was given the opportunity to teach art on special occasions with the students and I loved every minute of it! We had a few messy mishaps with paint and the teacher handled the situation with grace and joy. "It's okay! Kids are supposed to get a little messy when they're being creative!" She said with a smile and a laugh! This learning environment has been absolutely wonderful and so positive for my kids. I love that when my kids misbehave or choose not to do an assignment that they are not punished or put in an isolated environment but rather they are encouraged to make better choices and given extra time to get their energy out by walking. My son says his teacher is "just like him", even though I don't see much similarities myself immediately. She takes the time to ask him how his weekend was and when he tells her about his dirtbike race, she's genuinely interested. Turns out she grew up riding around her farm. It takes an amazing teacher to make a connection with a 4th grade energetic boy who would rather run around outside than to learn. We have had a very positive experience this year and I look forward to what next year brings.
