Granite City Food & Brewery

Today (03/29/24 at about 7:20 PM) I was outraged by what happened at Granite City at Haggerty and Seven Mile Rds. My wife bit into her taco and a foot-long black hair came streaming out of it and into her mouth ([picture provided). Now, I know no one is perfect and accidents do happen, but I have always lived by the idea that it is more important how a business reacts to mistakes than the mistake itself. We waited twenty minutes after requesting a Manager and were told he was in the kitchen and could not leave it. I insisted he leave the kitchen and see us. When Brian/Bryan (sp?) arrived we explained what we found and showed him, and his **appalling** response was (and I quote), "That's funny, because no one in the kitchen has that kind of hair." That sounded quite like an accusation to me. He credited us for that meal -- he should have credited our entire dinner -- and left in a hurry (because he was "cooking" in the kitchen). This man should not be "managing" anything beyond a rest room. I wish a General Manager would address this and instruct Bryan/Brian how to properly address customer complaints without throwing innuendos. Disgraceful! I am/was a regular customer of this location, but not anymore.

I have been to the Northville location a few times. The spinach dip is a must appetizer. My husband says the BLT is the best one hes eaten locally. Theres something about the country bread and bacon, he told me. I told him those are such common items. He just kept saying Im telling you in that knowing tone. Everything I have gotten has been good but I had the pot roast last night and Im still thinking about it today. I actually just finished the leftovers and Im sad. I guess Ill just have to go back up there soon!

Went to Easter Brunch and was disappointed for the money. Food was not real good and everything was cold!

The Flying Monkey was a really good cocktail and I loved the chicken & spinach artichoke sandwich.

Good place for having a party or dinner without breaking the bank ,food was ok (could have been better ) Caesar salad was very good ,good service, I ordered fish tacos that were good a little too havy on fish batter great beers overall we enjoyed and will come back
