Village at the Oaks

The Sanctuary at the Oaks provided wonderful care and support for my wife as her memory and health declined. I cannot speak highly enough of the team. Shanon, Megan, Jeanine, Anna, and Bethany became our family. There is no other place we would have wanted our loved one to be. They are the best!!!

I saw your flyer for your chili cook off couple of weeks ago and called to see if I would be able to attend eventhough I inquired after the date for me to rsvp. I spoke with April on the phone and from the moment I talked to her I could tell she is a very compassionate young lady. Once I arrived to The Oaks, I was greeted at the door by April with a friendly smile and guided to the chili cook off where I was able to sample some pretty good chili. I thought chili #3 was the best. While sampling the chili I was able to see the employees interact with the residents and every employee was nothing but compassionate. I took a tour of The Oaks with April after the chili and she answered every one of my questions, she was knowledgeable and most importantly I can tell she has a true passion for helping others. I took a tour of a brand spanking new place on Friday and the place was prettier and newer but the energy of the employees and residents did not compare to the love and compassion I witnessed at The Oaks.

I do not reccomend this place for anyone! The staff here discriminate against others. The staff already get paid their wages, but go around offering to do the tennants laundry for $10.00 a load, which is dishonest and not right. A friend of mine needed care over night, when no staff was available to provide over night care. But they were denied the right to have a family member there with them. Maintenance is not doing their jobs correctly. There are leaking seals at the base of the toilets that are not fixed. There are bugs that fly around from the sinks that are not exterminated. Both of these are health hazards that are very hazardous to these tennants health. Aren't the staff of this establishment supposed to be taking care of the tennants well-being? You would assume so.
