Northwind Forest Apartments

The 1st floor apartment I checked out smelled musty and moldy. Didn't see mold but could smell it. Will not be going back.

One thing to remember is that, if there are so many bad reviews, there perchance could be a reason to it. I pride myself on being an extremely clean and tidy person (Monica from Friends clean!) because apart from that's how i was raised, I always think its respectful. I lived in these apartments for 1 year and the service and amenities were incredible! Why the 1 star rating then? Well, the reward I got for being a quiet, kind and immaculate tennant (no holes in the wall to hang a painting, not even a single speck of filth or dust and going out of my way to clean every nook and cranny before my departure) is for the Management to not give my deposit back because "i did not inform" them of my departure 60 days before my date. However, slight issue. For upto months leading upto my departure I kept visiting the office, asking the staff (who no longer work there but with whom I had wonderful relationships with) if there are any other formalities to take care of before my departure and I was told nothing else. Since I am not from the USA, I still kept thoroughly checking the leasing agreement for any issues. After waiting for 4 months post my departure, I was told that my deposit is forfeited. In conclusion - Incredible service marred by absolutely dissappointing Managers (wanted to say shady/crooked but oh well)

Pros: -Trails through the woods out the door -Proximity to rail trail -Proximity to brewery/Ice cream -Pool -Quiet for the most part -Backs up to super nice neighborhoods Cons: -Small -Mile walk to the dumpster -One washer/dryer on each floor and people constantly forget about their laundry -Buildings reek like smoke/weed -No lights in living room or bedroom
