They don't accept graduated students and won't inform you of that until an hour before your appointment. Very unprofessional for a medical center to deny medical services and scary a medial center can discriminate patients/students, something NMU is very insistent they do not do.

They aren't on top of things. I had to constantly call for refills that took forever because of the weekend and a game of telephone through the nurse to the doctors. They put me through withdraw TWICE from my mood stabilizers. Very unprofessional and constantly close early before 5pm. Not to mention the doctor told me to take double dosage even though I told her my insurance wouldn't cover an early refill.

Theyve changed their scope of practice, which is fine, but never notified existing patients who would be affected by those changes about them, leaving patients blindsided and in the cold. Used to be a fine enough place for students to have primary care work done and now it seems they dont care about their patients like they used to. Im guessing it has to do with Dr. Louma leaving, as he left and took what seems to be a large chunk of offered care and services with him. Im glad Im getting out now, however it would have been nice to know in February when he left that I also should jump the viellmetti health center ship.

My experience here today was unlike anything I have seen in a medical establishment before. Upon walking in the door, the Secretary was very rude and unprofessional when checking us in. The preliminary nurse was good and checked us in fine. When the nurse practitioner came in she instantly had a feeling of animosity that you could feel. Every word that she said was said with the nastiest attitude and disrespect for the patient. We were then told the thing we were there for we couldnt have done and would have to reschedule because they didnt give a preliminary exam that they never spoke of upon making this appointment. When checking out and rescheduling the Secretary was again very rude and told us both procedures couldnt be done on the same day when that is just what the NP told us to do! She then asked the NP and she said no I wouldnt tell them that. This practice is extremely shiesty and unprofessional, that NP should have her licensed revoked. Shame on you NMU Health Center faculty for the way you have acted and treated your patients, we will not be returning.
