Not even a 1 star rating. Horrible customer service! Bought a recliner for my wife after surgery for our seasonal residence. The chair will not stay in a reclined position. Since the manufacturer of the recliner is no longer in business, MI Hometown Services informed me they they could not help in any way and that "their hands were tied". We tried to support our small/local business but clearly they are not what they advertise and stand behind. Chair was used less than 9 days. *************************************************************** Just for clarification and factual purposes from the reply you posted. Mi Hometown Furnishings did NOT deliver the chair. We picked it up, still in the original packaging and had to assemble it ourselves at our (again mentioning) seasonal residence, 205 miles away. We did not take possession until March 14, 2023 as it is clearly noted on the original receipt. As for the "Independent Contractor" which you refer to as a repair team, they witnessed first hand the chair would not stay in the reclining position when I sat in it. I agree, the mechanics of the chair are fully operational. The repair team removed one spring to see if it would resolve the issue. That did not work and again witnessed the chair would not stay in the reclining position. Therefore, the repair team removed a second spring and still the chair would not stay in the reclining position with me sitting in it. The the repair team member sat in it and said that in order for the chair to stay in the reclining position, "you have to sit with your bottom/backside all the way back in the chair", which he demonstrated, and I mention, he did not look comfortable. I gave it a try and it was not comfortable at all AND it still would not stay in the reclining position. He indicated my body structure/stature was different than his, took 4 pictures, admitted the chair was in like brand new condition, said "this chair isn't for you" and ended with "I tried my best to fix the problem, there is nothing more I can do" and then stated "it is now between you and Mi Hometown Furnishings, I just report my service call to them". I/we don't appreciate you implying that I/we gave you "threats of public bad mouthing of Mi Hometown Furnishings". It is just the matter of fact of the lack of results and terrible customer service we received from a small/local business. Bad news travels fast! In talking with Jaye Lynn in person, I attempted to come up with any type of fair resolution by asking if the Reclining Chair could get put on display on the showroom floor for consignment sale purposes. The reply I received was "No, we can't do that. Put it on Facebook Market Place". With that being said, I am not in the furnishings industry, but my thoughts are that prospective furniture buyers go to retail locations, such as Mi Hometown Furnishings to see, experience, and test pieces of furniture in person as opposed to looking at photos on a computer. Jaye Lynn also said "my hands are tied". I'm not sure who tied her hands and not sure who at Mi Hometown Furnishings could assist by untying them. I/we are obviously we are very disappointed in the recliner, Mi Hometown Furnishings and the Customer Service we have received. What a poor $1,092.91 investment and even a worse experience with Mi Hometown Furnishings.

The only thing I don't like about this place is there $149 delivery fee. Only live two miles away. If not for this would rate them 5.
