Don't waste your time and money on repair service on an oven! My oven was not working - the stovetop still worked though. They only offer to remove and replace the whole component. He explained that he could not repair the control board, only replace with brand new part (not just the relay part of the control board), but I don't consider that a repair service. He quoted the replacement of the whole control board at $275 for the part plus tax and labor. He could not or would not repair the circuitry (which is why I asked for service). They only service my area once a week. So I went without an oven for 2 weeks waiting for the repairman. (I use that term loosely). $90 to tell me what was wrong but not to repair it, and he spent a total of 15 minutes to tell us that the part would have to be ordered and shipped (taking another month). The relay part only costs $5. I should have realized when the office told me that he won't know if he can repair it until he looks at it (for $90). The Whirlpool oven was only purchased 1.5 years ago, but of course, past the warranty time of one year. Look it up online and fix it yourself.
