This pharmacy used to be good, until the remodel. On more than one occasion my order has not been ready even though I had called ahead several days in advance. There are 4 registers however usually only one is open and other staff are visible and available to assist but never do. My visit today and the rudeness of the person assisting me has me seriously considering to take my business elsewhere.

I have had a terrible experience with this pharmacy, and the biggest problem is a lack of communication. They fail to provide important information. For example, they failed multiple times to tell me that they could not participate in a manufacturer's rebate program because of a computer problem that has existed for over a week. They failed to tell me that they filled my prescription short. They told me I could pick up the rest of my prescription yesterday, but of course they did not have the med in stock when I came in. On multiple occasions I've gone there and walked out with nothing because they told me my prescriptions would be ready, when they weren't. They refuse to do auto refills. Go somewhere else. These guys don't want your business.

I have been a loyal customer at Meijer for many years, I use your pharmacy for my prescriptions and have never had any complaints. Unfortunately, today April 5th my son was diagnosed with the flu, he has a compromised immune system and therefore needed tamiflu. I called the lansing pharmacy on Saginaw Rd to ask about his prescription to which the staff member stated it will be ready in an hour. Perfect! I work, Im a single mom, so I stopped by after work to find out they do not have the prescription and havent for a few years. Why was this not told to me when I called and was told it would be ready? I get accidents occur, but a phone call at the very least after realizing it cannot be filled wouldve been appropriate and very much appreciated considering it took calling three different places to find a place that does have the prescription available and this medication CANNOT just wait for the next day. Tamiflu is a medication that has to be given within a certain time frame. So I had to scramble to find a pharmacy that had it in stock before they closed. Furthermore, after finding all of this out I called up there to see if they can transfer the prescription to another location to which they said I have to call the other place. This lady was very rude and condescending and did not listen to me when I was stating you were the one with his prescription and the lady I spoke with at the drive thru stated she can transfer his prescription somewhere else if I needed to, so why would I need to call another place? She then hung up on me, and I was unable to call back. Did I yell? Most definitely because she kept talking very condescendingly and literally not letting me say anything whatsoever so the only thing I could do was talk over her and ask for a manger! I had to go up to Meijer AGAIN to figure it all out. I filed a complaint, which he wrote on the back of a bag and he also was being very condescending to me as well. Even stating in a rude manner youre right youre right, u did everything right and we did everything wrong. That is not at all what my point was, as a company and business, I shouldve received a call the moment you realized you gave me wrong information. But instead, I was left to figure it out myself and made to feel like complete crap. All while managing a VERY SICK CHILD. Just imagine if I wasnt able to fill this prescription and something were to have happened to my son? Its completely unprofessional and it has left me changing my pharmacy. I would like this looked into, no parent, or human in general for that matter, should have to go through what I went through today just to ensure my son got the prescriptions that were needed for him to feel better and help him fight this flu. I know whoever took my complaint will not do anything with it besides throw it in the trash, so I have contacted corporate as well as found and emailed the CEO. Im NEVER the one to do this, never one to file a complaint because I do understand mistakes happen and we are all human, but the level of unprofessionalism I received after the fact was completely disheartening and Im flabbergasted by it. Being a special needs parent is hard enough, there is no reason a pharmacist should be treating any customer as they did when they were the ones who made the mistake in the first place. This may seem so little, but trust me when I say my sons health is not little, its actually very big and its the most important thing to me. From a professional and a moral standpoint, this was completely unnecessary and should be looked into. I will NEVER use this pharmacy again & would encourage anyone else who cares about their health to look elsewhere for their medication as well, they have shown they clearly do not care about their customers whatsoever.

Summary for those who dont read the full review: 1. Pharmacy lost a prescription and didnt fill it. 2. I was hung up on when I called and when I called back no one answered. 3. I went to store and got indifferent attitude, was told e-system was at fault. They passed problem on to me to fixI.e., contact my doctor. 4. I submitted complaint online, but got runaround and no response addressing my complaint. Details: Pharmacy sent routine reminder for refill. I responded and also had doctor submit a 2nd prescription. Wasnt contacted again so I called. Got hung up on. Called back, got no answer. Went to store. Was told doctor needs to call in. Showed them on my phone that doctor contacted me confirming submission. Was told their e-system was down but (strangely) they had one of the prescriptions. Told me I needed to have doctor resubmit. I submitted a complaint on Meijers website. More buffoonery ensued! I had my doctor resubmit. I got text next day that the scrip was ready. I picked it up but didnt realize until I got home that it was not the second scrip but another refill of the scrip I got on the first visit. The complaint I submitted was a waste of time. The first response indicated to me that they were sending it the wrong department. I replied to point that out. I then got an email response acknowledging the complaint was about the pharmacy. I was asked to identify the location and explain my complaint. It was obvious that they didnt read my complaint. I replied asking them to read the complaint. I got no response so I email replied again, detailing the complaint again. I got no response. After about a week, I submitted another complaint on their website referencing the original complaint and lack of response. I received no further responses from Meijer and took my business to another pharmacy.
