        As the owner of The Northfork Estate, I have had the pleasure of working with Chef Lucia and An Affair to Remember Catering for the past several years. Chef Lucia has catered numerous weddings, dinners, and events for our clientele as well as for me personally. The cuisine she prepares is OUTSTANDING, from the initial conversation all the way to the end product, Chef Lucia is invested in not only the meal she creates but also the experience she provides. The presentation at every event she caterers is phenomenal and her Staff is second to none! The entire company Loves what they do and it shows in every aspect of their business. I know, without a doubt, that when Chef Lucia and the An Affair to Remember Catering Team are at our venue, the night with be One to Remember!

        Lucia was wonderful to work with and very personable prior to the event. However, there were some issues. Some of the silverware was rusty. Some of the plates were dirty and had to be washed before use. The food was late. The chicken was dry and overcooked. There was no sauce on the pasta. The asparagus was stringy. There wasn't enough asparagus and carrots for all of the tables. There wasn't enough salad at the tables to feed everyone a small portion. The food was not the same quality as at our tasting. The bride and groom as well as their parents are disappointed. After the event there was no communication or follow-up, nor was there a response to my email.

      Amelia, I can not express how sad we are that your wedding meal did not meet and exceed your expectations. I would very much like to thank you and Brenden for taking time to have discussions with me, to allow me the opportunity to sit down with you and discuss what changes we have made to assure this never happens again and to "hug it out" with you. As a business owner, we strive to have nothing but the very best service and food and I take complete ownership, that we did not deliver at our usual 100%, the reasons behind that & the corrective actions have been discussed privately with you and will remain that way. The worst part about this, is that we can not go back and re-do your day. I hope the offer of me private cheffing a special occasion for you and Brenden and the compensation that was reimbursed, expresses to you our acceptance and accountability.
