Great experience working with Todd after my insurance company tried to total out my Lincoln Mark LT pickup for for about $2700 less than KBB value. The insurance company (you know, the one that advertises a lot and uses Flo as their spokesperson) was terrible to deal with - they gave me bad information, used bad comps for the evaluation, failed to return my calls/emails, and drug the process out for about two months. I think their strategy is to wear you down since they know you are stuck without your car so you will take their low offer. After about a month of getting the runaround with the unhelpful/unresponsive insurance adjuster, I reached out to GT Auto and Todd responded back via email that very day and followed up with a phone call. I found him to be easy to talk to and eager help. He didn't pressure me to hire him, but instead empathized with my situation, explained the process, and discussed the the pros and cons of hiring an independent adjuster. He made clear there was no guarantee he could get me what I was asking for (my original goal was to get them to reverse the "total loss" decision because it still ran great and was in great shape - their "total loss" decision didn't make much sense to anyone) nor could he guarantee that he could get them to agree to any specific value, but he was certainly optimistic and in agreement that the proposed insurance payout appeared to be significantly lower than it should have been. After initially going it alone and trying to get the insurance company to raise their valuation of the truck by finding and submitting my own comps (all of which were rejected by the insurance company), I escalated my claim and hired GT Auto to do an independent appraisal. I met Todd at the body shop for the inspection and talked to him for quite a while. Again, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He suggested getting my service records and a few other things for him to include in his report to support the claim of value. After a few days, he contacted me and informed me that he had reached a tentative settlement for roughly $2250 more than their initial offer, which I accepted. He also reminded me that the insurance company was also obligated to reimburse sales tax up to the value of the settlement (toward the purchase of another vehicle), which could be a substantial amount and something that the insurance company will not do unless you specifically ask them to. If you are in a similar position as I was in, this is a no-brainer decision. Yes, it will cost you a few hundred dollars out of your pocket, but that is far better than getting screwed out of thousands of dollars.

Todd did a pre-purchase inspection on a classic car for me. He did a very thorough job. I was impressed with his level of detail and communication before and after the inspection. Highly recommend.

Todd is one of the best appraisers around, Progressive offered me way less than my truck it was worth and Todd was able to negotiate over double the offer, saved my car from being totaled. Todd fees are less and he offers better service. Appraisers are always worth it, insurance bets on people accept low ball offers, fight back and hire Todd, you wont regret it. Dont navigate the uncertainty alone.

Very prompt in getting back to us with a detailed quate. We were not able to follow through until spring because the schedule for storage was moved up.

I took a last minute flight to Michigan to purchase a vehicle that had some repaired damage on it. It was a certified car from BMW but you can never be sure so I wanted an independent opinion. I was flying to Lansing but had a short layover in Detroit. I contacted GT during my 20 min layover to try and get an appointment on super short notice. Not only did they move their schedule around to accommodate me but they picked me up from the airport and took me to the bank and the dealership to look over the car together. Todd is beyond knowledgeable and was very detailed in explaining and pointing out exactly what to look for in all areas of the vehicle that might show signs of something that could be hidden from a Carfax report or an untrained eye. I was ready to book another one way ticket home but he gave his stamp of approval and I drove the car home. Super stoked as I love the vehicle but his service definitely sealed the deal for me. I would highly recommend having him look over your car for pre-purchase, appraisal, etc.
