Dear D Jones,We held your deposit because you applied, your application was approved, we held the apartment for you, you did not appear for your lease signing appointment, and did not inform us that you had rented at another apartment community. It is our policy in this event to hold an applicants application fee to cover lost rent as the apartment we held is in high demand, and to cover the cost to process your application and prepare your lease documents. We understand that sometimes for reasons out of our applicants control they cannot proceed with the lease they had applied for. As a courtesy to you or any applicant in this situation we waive the fee on any future application you may make at any of our locations. I will also note that we , unlike many other communities credit the application fee towards the first months rent and if for any reason, an application is denied we return the fee. I hope this answers why your fee was not refunded and we are sure that you would have enjoyed living at our community. We hope that if you are looking for a first class community in the future you give us another chance.
