The only time they ever maintain island lake is when they want money off the Gurnsey Lake Campground. The rest of the year you leave your own citizens to need car repairs and drive over terrible roads. When the camp ground isn't operational the residents don't matter. And the road is better bumpy than dusty. Whoever is dumping the dusty rock mixture there is destroying the environment and air quality.

My grandmother and I contacted them 5 times in 2 years about the drainage ditches that they installed on Hanson Road and haven't maintained. Iwas told to "dig it out ourselves", "and we're not responsible". According to the Michigan drainage law of 63 there is to be an annual inspection and $5,000 per mile per year for maintenance and repair qllocated for those ditches. in order to fix it myself I would first have to have a permit from the county to do so as it is considered county property. I have nicely requested multiple times that this be inspected and fixed. The majority of the road is now in our yard and overflowed the garden plot we dug as well as washed out our driveway. Hopefully someone will be able to assist me with this.
