I received my cabinets today and the final product is not what we had initially discussed and agreed upon. This entire process was drawn out due to the company mixing their own paint, which was not advertised, and caused my cabinets to come out in the wrong color. A consultant with Sherwin-Williams gave me an exact breakdown of the color sample I provided with the color sample that was mixed by the company, and the mixed paint was completely off. Shelly refused to accept the paint analysis from Sherwin-Williams and tried charging me again to repaint over their mistake. This is not even the full extent of mistakes or unprofessionalism that I experienced, and the final product being low quality comes off as direct retaliation for pushing back on getting the correct color for my cabinets. RESPONSE TO OWNER: I did not get a chance to look closely at the final product until I returned home from an appointment. Your aggressive demeanor and your responses focused only on higher costs, has made it difficult to communicate despite the errors that needed addressing. Half of the cabinets aren't baked as promised and I was not made aware of this change until you walked into my house to install them, the top cabinets clearly need another coat. While I agree that I insisted on a specific color, you choose the finish when you bought the paint, happily at my expense I might add. Perhaps if you had answered my recent email, I would not have had to post to an external forum.

I am an Interior Designer that works in New Construction Finish out for Builder's, as well as Interior Renovations for Private Clients, in Texas. I had to complete a Flood Build back on our Family home and opted to have the base cabinets in the Kitchen refinished, as opposed to replacement. My Mother was placed into Hospice care at her home and I wanted to make this process less intrusive on her. I contacted Shelly one afternoon and she met with me that same day. I gave her the paint color selected and work was scheduled not long after. The team sent was amazing and hand rolled all so that there was zero spray because of my Mother. Everyone was efficient and respectful. I am hoping one day that they will do work in Austin for some renovations I work on.... I highly recommend them. My wife and I are Realtors and we flip houses so we have hire a few different companies to do that which we cant do ourselves and painting cabinetry is a difficult venture. Its not always a great experience when you hire a company to do a job. This time it was. We have custom made oak cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathroom. Made by a shop teacher in 1967. The house we purchased was a time capsule. So we contacted Shellys and after receiving the quote decided to go with it. It was during the almost end of Covid and Shelly and her team where cautious about health safety which was much appreciated. They completed the job in the projected timeline and let us bring some other pieces to their shop to be painted. Remember it was cabinets from over 50 years back so when some sides were painted they bubbled. We bought replacement sheets and Shellys painted those. After awhile the door panels began to move and caused a wrinkle in the faceplate board. Shellys was on spot to do cosmetic surgery. This is something that happens to floating panels so caulk can not be used. However, I was very impressed Shellys took it upon themselves to do the cosmetics as it was a whole lot of work. Shellys customer service and standing behind their work / product is something that has been nonexistent lately in many businesses. I am truly grateful for the outstanding job by Shellys.
