New Direction Counseling Center

I was so sad to see the review from Elaine in regards to Lauri. Lauri was my therapist and she is the most compassionate and caring person that I know. She helped me out tremendously through my struggles and she gave me the resources I needed to get me back on track. I felt like a whole new person after just a few sessions. As reading from Elaines comment it looks as if Lauri was trying to help her out with resources as well. I think it takes a wise person to admit when they may not be the best fit for you. Sounds like your child is struggling and maybe in-office counseling services may not be the best for your child if they need long term therapy. Take Lauri's advice as your child could probably benefit from home based therapy instead of outpatient counseling services. Elaine I pray for you and your son and that you can find someone to help your family rather than wasting your time writing mean comments about a woman who goes above and beyond. Have a blessed day.

Lauri is an amazing counselor and very helpful. I will definitely go back. The building is nicely decorated and welcoming!

My son was with New Direction Counceling for the beginning and middle of the school year all of the sudden the councilor was told to close my sons case, even when the councilor and I felt strongly my son still needed services. I was advised to call back in a few months and get him back into services. I called back 3 months later and spoke to Laurie only to be refused services and told they are only providing short term, 2-3 week services!? What kind of Counceling only lasts 2-3 weeks?! I have read New Direction Counceling website and my son meets criteria per website, yet we are refused services!! REPLYING : You and I both know my son doesn't meet criteria for home based. You did say 2-3 weeks short term. I am sorry but I feel anyone looking to get services here should know how you run your business. You terminated my sons case with no reason and when trying to get him back into services you refuse and point me in a direction that can't service us at all.

I am so Grateful for Lauri. She took me out of this Dark place I was in and gave me new hope. I was scared at first going to seek help, But I am glad I came here. She showed me that there is bigger things in the world for me than to just wallow in my own self pity. She help me understand that I can do this and I am capable of so much more in life. For that I will be forever Grateful. New Direction Counseling Center is such an Amazing place. If it weren't for them I don't know where I would be today
