Green Garden Child Development Center- Huntington Woods

The leaders and staff at GGCDC have been wonderful, respectful and always have an open door policy. They have strived to take the best care of our child and continue to help them grow and learn. There have been some growing pains but nothing that we haven't overcome together. GGCDC has a growing curriculum, nutritional food for the children and a reduce, reuse and recycle initiative. Our child has grown much while in the care of Ms. Priscilla. She goes above and beyond for each child during a very busy day in the classroom. She's always strives for high impact learning initiatives, fun and interactive play outside and in. Thank you Ms. Priscilla and GGCDC for all that you do!

Dropping your infant or child off at daycare for the first time is such an emotional event. The staff at green garden really help to make this transition more comfortable. The teachers here are so kind and you can easily tell that they are passionate about their jobs. Both my children are excited every morning to go in. It makes those drops off so much easier when your little one have a smile on their face and talk about their teachers at home. Additionally as a plant based family we have greatly appreciate their organic, vegetarian menu. They are also very welcoming and supportive of LGBTQ families. A truly warm, enclosing and welcoming environment.

We have been with GGCDC - Huntington Woods for almost two years now. Our son took an instant liking to Ms. Brittney, who helped ease his transition as he grew and moved classrooms. Ms. Priscilla was wonderful to work with in the Young Toddler room, and Ms. Jaclyn has continued to help him transition and thrive in the Older Toddler room. We have loved the teachers at GG!

Our son has been attending preschool at Green Garden for about one month. His teachers and the GGCDC staff have been very responsive and helpful during his transition period. We are thankful for their open communication and guidance. (Thanks Ms. Jaclyn, Ms. Taneisha, Ms. Destiny, Ms. Samantha, and Ms. Treauna!) We chose GGCDC because of their play-based loose-parts approach, focus on socio-emotional development and conflict resolution, environmentally-friendly practices, healthy food plans, and so many other reasons. We are excited to see how our son grows into the program!

As a new mom trying to navigate Covid, I was extra cautious when it came to selecting a facility that would make us feel safe but that also felt like home. We found that in Green Garden-the staff is wonderful and engaged, communicative and kind and our son has a blast every single time he goes to "school." We recently moved into the older toddler program and our only regret was having to say goodbye to Miss Nekeshia (and baby Emma!) Thank you so much to everyone at GG!
