I've never had a problem with this office, I think they take good care of both of my boys and when we leave we feel listened to and taken care of. Today my son went in for a non-routine visit and we needed to do labs, urine screen and a chest x-ray. Knowing that I decided to download the spectrum health app so we can see the results when they come in. I tried to set this up and it came back saying that this could not be done so I called customer service. In order for me to set this up MY 12 YEAR OLD SON HAD TO GIVE THEM VERBAL CONSENT OVER THE PHONE, MY SON DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE WORD "CONSENT" MENT. They also had to verify his Name, date of birth and address with him which he doesn't know yet because of a recent move.... Since when does a minor have to give consent for his mother to review his medical records??? Is this a HIPAA thing now? Do I now have to sign a power of attorney to make sure this doesn't happen again? What if he would have said no because he was mad at me for not buying him candy??? (sarcasm)

I went here for a routine physical (free with my insurance) as a first time patient. The doctor was kind, but a week after the visit, I received a bill in the mail for an office visit because of a question I asked the doctor after he asked me if I wanted to ask anything. I was not informed that I would be charged for asking, and I would not have asked the question had I known. I couldn’t even afford the medication I was prescribed anyway, especially not with the cost of the visit on top of that. While I don’t expect the doctor to be able to tell me exact costs of everything, a heads up that the visit would be recorded as a 45 minute office call/outpatient visit instead of a preventative physical should have been given. My question was only 5 or 10 minutes of the visit anyway. This doctor succeeded only in ensuring that I will not ever ask questions about my health again! I will not be returning to this office.
