Laura, thank you for your visit and taking the time to review our winery. We definitely understand that a Garagiste Winery is not your “typical” winery! While our production operations are located in a large cellar out back, our Tasting Room is indeed outfitted in a converted garage. We love the coziness of this atmosphere, but ultimately our Tasting Room location is dictated by the Township (as are our hours). Our wines are made from 100% Michigan-grown produce, hand-selected for Burgdorf’s. We believe in supporting local farmers and that superior ingredients produce high-quality, delicious wines. The uniqueness of what we craft does naturally come with slightly steeper costs than larger-production wineries, but our pours are generous and one-of-a-kind. We’re glad you enjoyed the wine and got some to take home and hope next time you visit you’ll think of our Garagiste as your Garagiste!
