Sushi Wok

We were die-hard fans of the prior Chinese restaurant, Abacus, at this address, so we were hoping the food was as delicious but were sadly disappointed. The egg drop soup was the worst I've had, it isn't made with a chicken broth base, but rather a tasteless broth, not sure what it is, maybe water? And there was no tofu, no scallions, peas, pea pods, mushrooms or other veggies in it whatsoever. No wontons for the soup either! This is the first time I've had egg drop soup so plain and bland and I'm in my 50s and have eaten A LOT of EDS. It was thin and watery tasting. The fried gyoza which we've eaten many times from Abacus (now Sushi Wok) and Asian Garden on Chicago Drive were underwhelming, they were HALF the size of the other two restaurants I mentioned and shriveled up. No gyoza sauce was provided, only red sweet sauce and soy sauce. I ordered a side of Chinese vegetables and there was no cabbage, no bok choy, no baby corn or pea pods, etc. I know others gave this 4-5 stars and maybe that is based on their sushi offerings; we didn't try their sushi but I cannot recommend the Chinese side of the menu.

A wonderful local, family owned business. My husband and I have ordered for pick up just a couple times and the owner seems to recognize us already. Their sushi is delicious and priced well, with a good variety of options from basic, no frills classics to all the frills and toppings. Always fast and fresh. Their dine-in area is quite nice too.

Sushi flavors really good and they dont skimp out on the portions the prices are decent for the size. My favorite spot. The managers sweet
