We couldn't be more pleased with our new deck constructed by Montell Construction. The dynamic duo of Kel and Kyle was amazing. Their attention to detail was phenomenal! We were extremely impressed with the professional approach Kel and Kyle put toward every aspect of the build. The final product far surpassed our expectations with its polished finish. We would certainly recommend Montell Construction to anyone desiring a topnotch job, and would also advise you request the Kelly and Kyle team for your project. These two young men put their heart and soul into their work!

Contracted in Montell Construction to construct to add a 13 Trex catwalk the side of the house from deck, reskin existing 13 x 14 deck, and a stairway to grade (backyard). Project began on March 20th and June 1st. The project started out great, demo began, a few items we missed during the demo (nails still in beams that could be seen from downstairs patio,3 large holes punctured in flashing where deck meets house when old deck boards were wiggled and being removed). The construction of the new stairway, but then they began installing it in the wrong location then what was discussed with the sales personnel and where the stakes were put by the sales personnel. The crew quickly ended up removing the stairway then installing it in the correct location (this could have been avoided and saved time if there would have been better communication between sales and the personnel drawing the prints). After the main section of the deck and railing was complete the crew let me know they were waiting on a few parts to complete the stairway railing and stated they would call me and be back to complete (perfect). In the meantime I went out and looked over the project and found one step, midway up, was 1 inches short in depth compared to the rest. I quickly called the head crew member to let them know what I had found and have it corrected before the railing was installed. I had then found out the crew leader running my job had put his two weeks in and Montell had let him go. In the meantime, I had received a phone call from a family member that Montell Construction had showed up at their house to drop off supplies for my job (their job has been complete for over a year now), they were quickly redirected to my back to my job. The replacement crew leader had called/left a message while I was at work. I had stopped home to talk with the crew leader and to my surprise the railing was installed on a stairway that was incorrect. I had mentioned to the new crew leader about the step not being correct and he stated they noticed that and it was odd, in the meantime the crew member gave me the remark Are You Going To Lose Sleep Over It??. I told the crew leader I was not impressed and wanted it corrected, and why would you install railing on a stairway that wasn't correct in the first place? They told me they would have to contact their project manager and have him come out and see what could be done (again, this could have been prevented, time and material wasted along with my time). The crew showed up and disassembled the stairway and reconstructed it the correct way. The stairway now looked great but the inner rail was now crooked and kicked down at the end (off about an 1 . After 2 visits/attempts with the crew leader and taking time from my day off the inner rail is now straight. There are still items not right, railing caps broken and stuck down with glue instead, railing missing hardware, and the catwalk support beam not supporting anything. I went through and took time and removed all nails left over from the demo, went through and caulked the holes in my flashing to prevent water damage to the structure of the house. I would not recommend Montell Construction. See photos attached

My husband and I are so happy with our new deck! Everyone at Montell was so easy to work with, especially Jodie and Jesus who kept us updated throughout the entire project. Absolutely recommend!

Working with Montel Construction in the installation of a new front porch railing and a three season room was a pleasure. The management team was very understanding and provided great service. The Installation team of Kelly & Kyle Hein was Outstanding. They were quick and efficient. They explained the installation process and made sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. The work was completed in a very timely manner. We are very happy with them and Montell. We would recommend them to anyone for a home project. Dave Simmonds
