I decided not to go forward with care at the Counseling Center of West MI-GR Campus due to my phone experience with receptionist Scout. They were aggressive on the phone and not effective at answering client questions about the center.

Definitely not appropriate for children. I got a phone call at 12:03 pm explaining that a 3:00 pm counseling session for a family member had been cancelled because the paperwork hadnt been filled out by noon. The woman to whom I was transferred explained that she had no choice but to cancel because the law requires the paperwork to be filled out 24 hours in advance. If thats true, this place is breaking the law by going forward with appointments when the paperwork is filled out by noon on the same day. If its not true, this place is lying to clients. Either way, cancelling last-minute on a child whos looking for counseling is insensitive and unprofessional. I shouldve trusted the 3.8-star reviews of this place.

This place is the complete opposite of help! The only provider they have there goes by the name of Amy Bukala. Amy has been medically gaslighting my partner, as well as misdiagnoses and neglected her needs as a patient. Amy Bukala has caused more mental health issues than my partner has ever has. Prescribing controlled substances recklessly, as well as prescribing medications of the same class that caused her to have mania. In all of Amy 15 years as a prescriber or nurse practitioner, she should not be allowed to continue these practices. My partners post was taken down less than a minute of posting to cover up the fact that their prescriber has been prescribing meds at an uncontrollable rate and has caused someone to have more mental issues, and issues with everyday life task. Prescribers are making money off of prescription drugs. DO NOT SPEND YOUR INSURANCE MONEY OR MONEY HERE!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR FAMILIES TIME HERE! SEEK SOMEWHERE WITH A BETTER PROFESSIONAL HEALTH TEAM! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM.
