The store is nice and I love the location. Ive had a watch sized there and my wife had her wedding ring serviced there after she lost a diamond. However, the customer service I recently experienced was less than desirable. I went in to find a necklace for my daughters Valentines Day gift. I was asked how old she isand responded with 8 years old. I was then told that Id have better luck going to Mac Kite. For those that dont know what Mac Kite isits a toy store in downtown Grand Haven. I wasnt looking for inexpensive costume jewelry. I was looking for something nice that she can wear proudly for many years to come. Thats why I walked through the front door. The fact that the woman seemed put off by me shopping for my daughter in a high end jewelry store was beyond irritating. Ive purchased many pieces of jewelry for my daughter over the years, ranging from Tiffany and Co. to pieces at other nicer jewelry stores. Overall I felt like the sales woman was very judgmental and completely disinterested in my desire to purchase something from this store. In retrospect I should have just walked out and went somewhere else, but I did end up purchasing a small necklace as my time was limited and the necklace was ideal. In the future, Id recommend that the sales staff treat everyone that walks through the store as a potential customer. I highly doubt Ill be back.

The owner/President, John Morgan, is a master at his craft and we are fortunate to have him in our community. From diamond wedding rings, to yellow and white gold fine jewelry, a wedding anniversary watch for the husband, a white gold and ruby ring for our daughters 16th birthday - youll find something for yourself and everyone else you love at J.
